Discipline as Freedom

There’s the common sort of discipline where we buckle down and do what we should. It feels like restriction. Then there’s chosen discipline where we focus and adopt a behavior that supports our dreams. It feels like freedom.

Disciplines like setting up daily and weekly planning times, starting our day calmly, eating well, exercising, structuring work meetings, filling out expense reports, and taking the time to hire well could be either the buckle-down or the chosen sorts. It’s all in how we look at them.

In your corner,

Mike

PS: You can tell which sort I would recommend. But of course it’s your call, good leader.
