There are two kinds of action: dismal and simple.
Dismal action is what you do when you feel bad. It is the sort of action you take when you think your only solutions are to push, avoid, or otherwise act while feeling bad. Luckily, the impact of dismal action usually fades quickly.
Simple action is what you do when you feel good. It is the sort of action that becomes obvious and effortless as you focus on thoughts that feel better and better. Simple action endures.
Next time you feel the need to jump into action, consider which kind of action it is: dismal or simple. You’ll know, of course, by how it feels.
In your corner,
Mike
