“The trick to being successful is to be successful.” Nobody ever says, “Do successful.” Yet most of the time we think, “If I do this, that, and the other thing and then I’ll be successful.”
“Do” so rarely leads to “be.” Starting with the “doing” is like taking the looooooooooooooooooooong way ’round the mountain.
Instead, take the shortcut: use tools like the flip, the ladder, telling yourself a different lie, the keep-or-toss, focus on the good stuff, and this is me to be successful, to create success in your mind first. You will then be inspired and do wonderful, successful things.
In your corner,
Mike
PS: Remember: we are human beings not human doings.
Loved today’s postscript. A good reminder.
Thank you! Of course, I can’t claim authorship of that postscript. And I can’t find a definitive souce: many have said and repeated it.
