How to Let Go

As we said, feeling bad is your signal to let go. Here is how to do it.

  • Acknowledge it to yourself: “This is me feeling bad about something.”
  • Acknowledge the unspecific cause: “I am seeing, thinking, or acting in a way that no longer works.”
  • Ask yourself, “What would work? What thought would feel better?”
  • Wait. You will get an answer. It may take from a few seconds to a minute. And it feels as if it is bubbling up from within or flying in from outside you.

Let go.
