How Long Will It Take?

long

“I want to focus on what’s right not what’s wrong.” “We want our meetings to be productive, meaningful, and efficiently planned.” “We will gather the energy we had been spending on politics, intrigue, and distractions and now spend it on delighting our customers.” “I will take the time to make healthy meals for me and my family.”

Once we have identified a better approach–whether for ourselves or our businesses–the natural question to ask next is, “How long will it take to switch successfully from the old approach?”

Tough one. It could take anything from ‘no time at all’ to ‘all the time we have.’

Turns out there’s a better question to ask: “How committed (really, really) are we to this new approach?” Answer this question and then the answer to the other question will be trivial or obvious.

In your corner,
