Once we have decided on a strategy, we can improve it by asking everyone involved, “What could prevent the success of this strategy?”
We may be tempted not to ask, though. We wouldn’t want to expose the strategy to anyone criticizing, changing, or delaying the idea or plans.
But let’s ask anyway. Asking people about what could go wrong not only helps strengthen the idea, it further encourages them to contribute to the success of the endeavor.
