We avoid emotions at work. And we reinforce this with each other because we unconsciously believe that emotion at work is at least a distraction and could be dangerous.
Yet emotion drives every decision, action, or inaction we–and the people we lead–take.
So let’s get good at this. Instead of seeing “mastery of emotion” as mastery over emotion, let’s become masterful at understanding, engaging, and resolving emotion.
