“I am 100% responsible,” can mean two things. The traditional definition implies being subject to praise if it works out and blame if it fails. (Interesting.)
Here’s another and quite useful definition: the ability (ibility?) to respond. This version of the word says, “Whatever happens, I will handle it. I will respond thoughtfully, not react. I can handle anything that may happen. I need not over anticipate. I am clear that my habitual defenses (such as anger, frustration, worry, guilt) have the tendency to perpetuate undesired situations and slow solutions. I trust that being present enough to listen well and respond will help things work out well and quickly for everyone.” (Relevant, eh?)
I encourage you to try the second definition. It is especially useful when working with others.
In your corner,
Mike
