The more time we spend worrying or wondering whether we are good enough to handle any given situation, the less time we have to be present, to listen, and to be actually helpful.. The solution is to shift our focus away from ourselves (“Do I even know what I am doing?”) and towards others (“What’s up? What do you need?”).

We do our best work–and it becomes so easy for us–when we turn the camera away from us and toward others, their needs, and the situation. They win and we are well rewarded.

In your corner,

Mike
