Flow

flow

Author Michael Pollan describes so well how most of us feel about tasks, goals, and getting stuff done. He says, “My native tense is the future conditional, a low simmer of unspecified worry being the usual condition. […] A great many boulders get in the way of my flow, disturbing the clarity of the mental waters and creating lots if mental noise.”

Note the connection he makes between flow and mindset.

The flow we desire comes when we know that whatever we are doing right now is the best possible thing to be doing. And that flow is the promise of a tasks-and-goals system (that set of habits and lists) that we can trust  Such a system not only tracks our tasks. It tackles those boulders, mental noises, and worries with one simple habit: Feel good. Then Act.
