War begets war. Peace begets peace. We reap what we sow. The ends never justify the means. A kindness delivered to someone today returns many fold from another person tomorrow. Forgive, love, respect.
There is always room for more human kindness. Even in the worst leadership situations (e.g. threats to the business, loss of a sale, firings, and disagreements), it costs us nothing and earns us everything to build rather than cauterize relationships.
