How to See Failure

see?

We can see failure in two ways: as something we work (damn) hard to avoid or as no big deal. When it’s the former, we believe that any failure is personal. We see it as a judgment and as an omen of more bad things to come. We become tied tightly and the quality of our decisions and actions suffers.

When it’s the latter, we are free. With any failure, we see we get to learn, pivot, and win.

If we remember that we can handle anything that might happen–if it happens, when it happens–then we can loosen up, tap our innate wisdom, and launch ourselves forward with failure as just another tool in our toolkit.

In your corner,
